Training 121 Fostered Partners, Pertamina Facilitate Promotion and Market Development

Jakarta, August 23, 2020 - In commemoration of the national MSMEs month, Pertamina continues to carry out training as part of its commitment to assist its fostered partners to grow and develop. 121 fostered partners throughout Indonesia attended "Branding Produk Anda Sudah Benar, Konsumen Akan Datang" (Your Product Branding Is Right, Consumers Will Come) training.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman, said that Pertamina continues to assist the partnership program. Therefore it can support MSMEs to grow and develop into independent business actors.

"Pertamina provides guidance, one of which is by holding training for MSMEs, in this case, Product Branding training. It aims to attract consumers to remember, recognize, and recommend products to other consumers," said Fajriyah.

Fajriyah added, Pertamina continues to assist its fostered partners to grow and develop, especially so that they can rise after facing the Covid-19 Pandemic.

This training brings in Brand Consultant, Ainur Rofiq, who emphasized the importance of branding for MSME players. Ainur Rofiq is a Branding Consultant from Dbrandcom, who is the founder of SIKUSIKU Studio and PT ibrand specializing in Product Design, Crafting Lab, and Brand Creator. Ainur Rofiq has also handled more than 200 national and international brands in Indonesia.

"Branding is a significant factor that decides potential customers to buy a product," said Ainur.

The branding process itself, added Ainur, is an effort to form an image and a sense of emotional attachment between customers and product brands, as well as efforts to differentiate themselves from competitors.

"One of the efforts to form an image is to build product branding. By making these efforts, it is hoped that MSME entrepreneurs will demonstrate the quality of the products offered while increasing business credibility in the eyes of customers," he added.

The participants were very enthusiastic and found it very useful. Permata Kamila, an MSME owner from Situbondo, said that this training helped greatly and motivating for her to maintain its products.

"This product branding training is very helpful to make your own brand and create confidence," she said.

The same thing was also conveyed by Sarmauli, the owner of MSME Frozen Cassava from Palangkaraya. He realizes that a good brand will increase the number of buyers of the business products he runs.

"With this training, I am being trained to remain consistent and enthusiastic in running a business," he said.

He hopes that Pertamina will continue to provide training both online and offline because MSME players need guidance and knowledge to advance their business.
