President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, explained that as a national company, Pertamina embodies alignment with MSMEs as a form of social investment to provide added value to MSMEs and is expected to foster trust and have a positive impact on business sustainability for Pertamina. Pertamina provides the broadest possible access for MSMEs to become Pertamina's partners in providing support services in the form of goods and services procurement.
"The Partnership Program is one way for companies to empower MSMEs, and this is in line with the Government's mission in the Sustainability Development Goals (SDG) program by creating jobs and opportunities that will have a significant impact on efforts to alleviate poverty," she said.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Pertamina also remained active in providing guidance and assistance to weak entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and the community through partnership programs.
"In 2020, Pertamina consistently assisted MSMEs to develop their businesses through the PaDi UMKM program in synergy with eight other SOEs," added Nicke.
Nicke added, through the PaDi UMKM, it would be easy for the public to get information on MSMEs sellers and activate E-Commerce as a service provider with a digital strategy and running B2B Store through websites or online stores. Being no less important is the implementation of the E-Procurement program.
"With the digitalization of procurement, it will be easier for Pertamina to monitor Pertamina Group's spending on MSMEs as well as to monitor the distribution of financing facilities or MSMEs capital," said Nicke.
The digitalization program in procuring goods and services in an integrated manner within the Pertamina Group is also considered to impact the company today positively and in the future.
"The centralization of procurement for Pertamina and its subsidiaries has created efficiency in the procurement of goods and services in the Pertamina Group," she said.**
