Verification and Appraisal Process Completed, PT KPI RU Dumai Realizes Social Impacts Compensation for the Community
Dumai, April 18, 2023 - After completing the verification and appraisal process, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI) Refinery Unit (RU) Dumai realized social impact compensation due to operational disruptions to the community, Monday (17/4) at Makodim Hall 0320/Dumai .
The verification and appraisal process is done by the Public Appraisal Service Office (KJPP), which is appointed to act independently accompanied by a joint forum from PT KPI RU Dumai, Kodim 0320, Dumai Police, Kejari, Camat, Lurah, LPMK, and community leaders.
One of the residents' representatives from RT.7 Tanjung Palas Urban Village, Mistihar, appreciated PT KPI RU Dumai for immediately collecting data on affected residents to realize compensation.
In line with this, the community’s representative from RT.03 Tanjung Palas Village, Candra, also appreciated the PT KPI RU Dumai reaction in providing solutions for affected residents.
"The social assistance and compensation given to us are very helpful for repairing cost for damaged parts of the house," he said.
Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of RU Dumai, Agustiawan, explained that the compensation value for repairs to the houses of affected residents followed the verification and appraisal results that had been carried out.
"The amount of compensation has also been collectively approved by the Mayor of Dumai, Dumai Police, Kodim 0320, Kejari, Camat, Lurah, LPMK, and community leaders who attended the meeting last Friday (14/04)," Agustiawan said.
The social impact compensation presentation was also attended by DPR RI Commission VI, Jon Erizal, General Manager of PT KPI RU Dumai, Didik Subagyo, Assistant II for Economic Affairs and Development of Dumai City, Syahrinaldi, S.Sos, M.Sc, Kodim 0320, Dumai Police, East Dumai Sub-District Head, Tanjung Palas Headquarters, and Bank BRI Dumai Branch.
DPR RI Komisi VI member, Jon Erizal, expressed his appreciation for the PT KPI RU Dumai's quick work in dealing with social impacts on society.
"PT KPI RU Dumai must be close to the community so that the community is friendly with PT KPI RU Dumai. We must support each other so that this recovery effort can be completed immediately”," he said.
Syahrinaldi, S.Sos, M.Sc also appreciates on behalf of the City Government of Dumai for the commitment of PT KPI RU Dumai, which succeeded in realizing compensation following the agreed time.
The social impact compensation provision is provided in the form of a BRI Bank account, where the funds will be transferred. It will take place from Monday (17/4) to Tuesday (18/4). The account distribution process has been arranged in a way that it could occur in an orderly manner.**
