Jakarta, April 29, 2022 - To welcome Eid Al-Fitr 1443 H PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), subsidiary of PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) and Pertamina's Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics (IML), positioned themselves to support sufficient LPG and fuel supplies.
Represented by the Port Manager and Supervisor as the commanding officer at each location, the mooring gang as supporting staff carries out mooring-unmooring activities at mooring facilities, and the Marine operational support team carries out Agency, Port Operation and Bunker Control activities. PTK ensures smooth Marine operations at Pertamina ports throughout Indonesia to support LPG and fuel distribution throughout Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr 1443 H coordinated centrally with Subholding and Holding.
"In welcoming Eid al-Fitr 2022, PTK is always ready to monitor, supervise, and provide reliable supporting infrastructure for Marine operational activities. This is part of our obligation to provide Marine Service in Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics," said the President Director of PTK, Nepos MT Pakpahan (25/4). Furthermore, PTK readiness was also demonstrated by ensuring the availability of Harbor Tug and Small Craft vessels.
PTK ensures the Harbor Tug availability for docking activities and operations at mooring facilities owned by Subholding Commercial & Trading (PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN)) and Subholding Refinery & Petrochemical (PT Kilang Pertamina Indonesia (KPI)). This is to support 282 PIS Transport Vessels. A total of 96 ready-to-operate Harbor Tugs are allocated according to the needs of each location, both at the PPN and KPI locations, with the main goal of a smooth and safe docking process at the port.
In supplying small vessels, PTK is in charge of managing and regulating the allocation of these vessels. A total of 307 small craft were deployed for mooring-unmooring, personnel transfer, and oil/fire fighting activities in all PPN and KPI ports. With the deliverables "Operation Ready, Reliable, and Safety First" target, all PTK Officers are ready to be responsible and tasked with Port Operation activities at 101 Ports of Pertamina (Persero) to maintain the security of fuel supply through operations that always prioritize safety and sustainability.**
