Balikpapan, April 10, 2023 - As a form of monitoring the readiness of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) Regional Kalimantan in facing Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr 2023 (RAFI 2023), Members of the Migas Downstream Regulatory Agency (BPH) Committee, Eman Salman Arief and Iwan Prasetya Adhi, conducted working visits and monitoring RAFI 2023. The activities included visits to Pertamina's facilities in Balikpapan, such as Refineries, Integrated Terminals (BBM Terminals), and petrol stations. During this visit, the General Manager (GM) of PT KPI Unit Balikpapan, Arafat Bayu Nugroho, and the Executive General Manager (EGM) of PPN Regional Kalimantan, M. Taufiq Setyawan were present on Friday (7/4).
During the visit, BPH Migas Committee member, Iwan Prasetya Adhi, said BPH Migas team's arrival to Balikpapan, East Kalimantan purpose was to obtain insight into the process carried out by PT KPI Refinery Unit V Balikpapan and PT PPN Regional Kalimantan.
"One of BPH Migas' tasks is to regulate the fuel distribution throughout Indonesia, including processing, transportation, storage, and trading activities. Our presence here is to gain insight into the fuel and LPG processing and distribution to Balikpapan's residents," said Iwan.
Meanwhile, the EGM of PT PPN Regional Kalimantan, M. Taufiq Setyawan, in his speech conveyed that Patra Niaga in the Kalimantan Region is carrying out the RAFI Task Force (Satgas) period, which started on April 1, 2023, until May 2, 2023.
"During the RAFI Task Force this year, Patra Niaga in the Kalimantan Region has prepared four service pillars, including Energy Fulfillment Services, Remote Area Services, Promotion Services, and Additional Services. The additional services are referred to as Standby Petrol Stations, Standby LPG Agents & Outlets, Modular Petrol Stations, Motorist, and Pocket Petrol Stations," said Taufiq.
Another additional service prepared by Pertamina Patra Niaga in the Kalimantan Region is the Rumah Pertamina Siaga, which is placed at several points on the Kalimantan island, including at two rest areas of the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road. "The Rumah Pertamina Siaga is intended for Pertamina's loyal customers to rest. There are also lactation rooms for breastfeeding mothers, children's playgrounds, prayer rooms, and other facilities," added Taufiq.
Furthermore, Patra Niaga in the Kalimantan Region also ensures fuel and LPG stock availability during the 2023 RAFI Task Force. For the East Kalimantan region, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan predicts that there will be an increase in Gasoline fuels (Pertamax Turbo, Pertamax, and Pertalite) by 10.4%, and for Gasoil fuels (biosolar, dexlite and Pertamina Dex) by 1.2%. Meanwhile, for LPG, it is predicted that there will be an increase of 4.6%, and aircraft fuel or avtur, will increase by 8.3% from the average normal daily distribution.
Visit to Petrol Stations by BPH Migas and Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan
During the same visit as the previous day, BPH Migas also monitored petrol stations in Balikpapan City and Kutai Kartanegara Regency. To be precise, at the 61.761.02 Sepinggan Airport petrol station, the 64.761.07 Stalkuda petrol station, and the 64.761.02 Mount Malang petrol station in Balikpapan City, and the 61.761 .01 Rest Area Balikpapan - Samarinda toll petrol station in Kutai Kartanegara Regency.
The members of the BPH Migas Committee, Iwan Prasetya Adhi and Eman Salman Arief, accompanied by Regional Sales Manager Retail Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, Addieb Arselan, were present at the petrol station visit on Thursday (6/4).
During the visit, Pertamina explained fuel distribution readiness at petrol stations, especially for East Kalimantan's residents. "Pertamina has carried out digital monitoring of the distribution (delivery of fuel) from the Fuel Refinery and Fuel Terminal and ensured stock and sales distribution to petrol stations follow the assignments and directions given by the Government through BPH Migas," said Addieb.
