JAKARTA, October 11, 2020 - Pertamina handed over 305 ventilator units worth IDR 93.4 billion to the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Foundation to be distributed to SOEs hospitals and referral hospitals from local governments. This Assistance is a Pertamina's contribution to handling Covid-19.
The Assistance was handed over by President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, to the SOEs Foundation's Chairman. It was witnessed by the Minister of SOEs Erick Tohir, Secretary of State-Owned Enterprises, and President Director of Pertamedika, in Jakarta, Friday (9/10).
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said that the ventilator assistance was Pertamina's support for medical personnel on duty at the SOEs Hospitals and Covid-19 Referral Hospital in handling patients who needed respiratory Assistance.
"With the increasing fulfillment for medical equipment needs, especially ventilators, it is hoped that it will further help Covid-19 patients so that they can recover quickly and can be productive once again," explained Fajriyah.
Fajriyah added that a ventilator is an essential medical tool needed to handle patients, so that since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, Pertamina immediately procured ventilators. Gradually, ventilator assistance was distributed to the Referral Hospital.
"With the support of various parties, currently all ventilator procurement has been completed and will be distributed directly through Pertamina's subsidiary, Pertamedika," added Fajriyah.
According to Fajriyah, 291 units of ventilator assistance distributed through Pertamedika will be distributed to 70 SOEs hospitals, nine units to non-SOEs hospitals, and five units to Referral Hospitals through the East Java Provincial Government.
Pertamina has provided Assistance for 222,698 personal protective equipment (PPE), 692,526 masks, and 7,636 liters of hand sanitizers of various sizes. It has been distributed to Integrated Healthcare Centers, Public health centers, Hospitals, gas station customers, Tank Truck Crew (AMT), the community, and government agencies. The Assistance was distributed to 124 hospitals, 112 Public health centers, and 82 Integrated Healthcare Centers.
Pertamina has also disinfected 6,433 times, including at places of worship, schools, gas stations, and other public facilities, and providing 102,920 gloves for medical personnel and Tank Truck Crew (AMT).
Not only Assistance in the form of medical devices, but Pertamina also built portable sinks for health centers and other public facilities. There are totals of 1,984 units to 162,301 packages of Assistance in the form of ready-to-eat food/groceries for medical personnel, journalists, informal sector workers, marginalized people, and others.
