Jakarta, December 24, 2021 - Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) leases MT Gamsunoro tanker to Aramco Trading Company (ATC) with a one-year contract.
The ship charter contract is carried out through PIS's subsidiary in Singapore, namely Pertamina International Shipping Pte Ltd (PIS Pte Ltd). As is known, Aramco is the largest energy producer in the world. This contract is an achievement for PIS. It further proves PIS' exponential business development at the global level.
The MT Gamsunoro will sail on the Persian Gulf-Red Sea Asia charter route. The initial loading point starts from Al Jubail Terminal on December 13-15, 2021, with a discharge point at Ash Shuqaiq Terminal and a shipping duration of around 90 days. The shipping route passes through the Red Sea area, a new route for PIS.
With the Indonesian flag, the MT Gamsunoro is managed by PIS and is fully manned by a 100 percent Indonesian crew.
Previously, the ship owned by MT Gamsunoro was also trusted to serve the Top Five Biggest Oil Trading Company, namely Trafigura. The vessel charter collaboration between PIS, through PIS Pte Ltd, and Aramco Trading Company is a new and significant milestone in PIS' efforts to develop the international market and become the Asia Leading Shipping Company.**
