Ranked 141, Pertamina is the Only Indonesian Corporation to List in Fortune 500 Global

As of 9th August 2023, PT Pertamina (Persero) has once again solidified its position as the only Indonesian company and state-owned enterprise (BUMN) to make it to the Fortune Global 500 list in 2023. This year, Pertamina ranked #141, a jump of 82 positions from its 2022 ranking at #223. Remarkably, Pertamina has surged by 146 positions compared to its 2021 ranking at #287.

The following rise in Pertamina’s ranking is in line with the company's achievement of recording their highest net profit since its establishment, as Pertamina reported a net profit of USD 3.81 billion or IDR 56.6 trillion, marking an 86% increase from 2021 when it recorded USD 2.05 billion or IDR 29.3 trillion.

Not only does this mark Pertamina’s global presence within the Fortune 500, it also fundamentally secures its second position globally in the Integrated Oil & Gas sub-industry by Sustainalytics with an ESG score of 22.1 in October 2022, showing an improvement from the previous score of 28.1.
