Pertamina's Strategy to Distribute Energy in Remote Areas
PT Pertamina (Persero) as SOE has the mandate and responsibility to provide fuel and LPG to every part of the country, both in urban and rural areas, including in the 3 T (Front, Disadvantaged, Outermost) areas.
Pertamina has proven this contribution and commitment through two flagship programs, namely Pertashop and One Price Fuel.
Pertashop is a small-scale Pertamina distribution agency that is prepared to serve the needs of consumers, such as non-subsidized fuel, non-subsidized LPG, lubricants, and other Pertamina retail products that have not been served by the Pertamina distribution agency.
Pertashop provides environmentally friendly fuel products such as the Pertamax Series at the same price as regular petrol stations. Pertashop outlets offer easier access for the community to meet their vehicle fuel needs without driving far to the petrol station.
PT Pertamina (Persero) targets to build up to 40,000 Pertashops until 2024. From 2020 to June 2021, Pertamina has built 1609 Pertashop outlets and will continue to grow. Pertashop itself is part of the One Village One Outlet Program with the target that all villages in Indonesia have at least one fuel and LPG outlet.
In addition to Pertashop, through One Price Fuel, Pertamina also distributes energy to the most remote areas of Indonesia or commonly known as the 3T region. The objective is for the channeled energy to move the community's economy.
Through One Price Fuel, Pertamina has established an official channeling agency in remote areas by providing premium and diesel fuel at prices regulated by the Government or the same as those enjoyed by people in other regions in Indonesia. With this program, apart from energy distribution, energy justice is also achieved.
Since the start of this program running in 2017 until June 2021, Pertamina has completed One Price Fuel Distribution Agency construction at 278 points spread across 3 T areas throughout Indonesia.
One Price Fuel is Pertamina's commitment to participate in advancing the community's economy through Pertamina's strategic role in providing energy throughout the country following the principles of availability, accessibility, affordability, acceptability, and sustainability.
