In order to take the SMEs to the Next Level and to implement the 8th Goal of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely to support the inclusive and sustainable economic growth, as well as the productive and permanently employed staffs, Pertamina has been actively organizing trainings for its fostered SMEs. In the period of May to August 2020, Pertamina held 80 online trainings for the fostered SMEs, which drew participation from more than 4,600 SMEs.
The training brought forward various interesting topics. Still, training on Online Marketing captured most of their interest. The participants saw this topic quite relevant to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, which indeed has limited the mobility of people and insisted them to try a new marketing method, namely by utilizing digital technology.
Other training topics included business, tips to maintain the business during Covid-19 pandemic, Branding and product images. Those topics are relevant with the current business situation so that SMEs can learn how to adapt to the challenging business situation.
Through the SME learning center, Pertamina expects to be able to help the people to get decent work and at the end contribute to the national economic growth.
