As a state owned company, Pertamina is obligated to design a Partnership Program that aim at helping to improve the capacity and capabilities small Enterprises to be an independent and resilient business as well as to create multiplier effects for the benefit of the community. Through Partnership Program, Pertamina has given advice and counselling to the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) particularly on how to improve their competence, marketing access and financial access under a program that is specially designed for taking the SMEs to the next level.
Pertamina’s efforts to improve the SME capacity is done through SMEPP (Small Medium Enterprise Partnership Program). Included in such program are the disbursement of loans, business counseling and development.
SME can apply for Partnership Loans up to Rp 200 million with 3% administration fee only per annum. Pertamina also gives training to improve skills of its fostered partners so they can be more competitive, resilient and independent.
In the curriculum designed for taking the SMEs to the Next Level, Pertamina has included several modules, namely Go Modern, Go Digital, Go Online and Go Global. The training program consists of improving financial skill, promotional skill and Marketing 4.0 to train them on how to sign up for an IG MB account, namely @gen_umkm and register on market place, as well as other activities aimed at improving productivity of the fostered partners. For its high commitment to organizing SME trainings, in 2019 Pertamina was awarded with MURI record for bring the organizer of the most SME trainings through Rumah BUMN (RB) program that facilitates learning and development programs for SMEs while serving as a forum for collaborative efforts of SoEs in realizing a Digital Economy Ecosystem through development of capacity and capability of SMEs.
Pertamina also designs also designs business development programs which includes product marketing, in which the fostered SMEs are encourage to participate in many exhibitions, pop-up markets at shopping centers, UMKM Center and Business Matching. The expanded marketing of the fostered partners’ products are expected to widen their markets and boost the market awareness of Pertamina’s brands and its fostered partners’ products.
