Toward a Clean and Transparent Pertamina

New Pertamina Clean Charter was already signed by both of Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners on June 12th, 2020, at Main Building of Pertamina’s Head Office. The signing of the charter realized Pertamina’s commitment to implementing ISO 37001: 2016 about the Anti-Bribery Management System within the company and somehow reflects the Pertamina’s clean value, which means a responsibility to manage the business in professional manner, to avoid conflict of interest, to intolerate bribery acts, to uphold trust and integrity, and adhere to best governance principles. The signing of the New Pertamina Clean Charter is expected to reinforce transparency principle within the organization.

Below are 9 points of New Pertamina Clean Charter:

  1. Operating the company with respect to the good business ethics and high responsibility and by holding the commitment to implementing the Good Corporate Governance and 4 NO’s principles, namely::
    • No Bribery
    • No Kickback
    • No Gift
    • No Luxurious
  2. Complying with the prevailing rules relating to anti-bribery and intolerating any acts of bribery in every activity of the company.
  3. Implementing ISO 37001:2016 concerning the Anti-Bribery Management System in the company with commitment to conduct continuous improvements.
  4. Encouraging while motivating every Pertamina employee, business partners, and other stakeholders to show care and active participation in reinforcing the anti-bribery principle, including by not accepting and/or giving gifts that lead to violation of prevailing regulations.
  5. Avoiding any conflicts of interests in decision making process and in managing the business.
  6. Conducting an internalization and training on regular basis about the 4 NO’s principles to all Pertamina employees while communicating it to other stakeholders.
  7. Overseeing the policy implementation and monitoring the development on periodical basis as consideration for continuous improvements.
  8. Applying sanction to any parties relating to the company, who are charged for their involvement in a bribery act, in accordance with the applying rules and regulations.
  9. Having full commitment and integrity to carry out the Anti-Bribery Management System and Zero Tolerance principle to any violating acts.
